BLM GROUP's new Active Tool introduces the first and only smart cutting process control in Lasertube machines.
Active Sense brings a double benefit in cutting metal tubes and profiles:
- If the quality of the material to be laser cut is good and the thickness is constant, Active Sense automatically increases the cutting speed to increase productivity by up to 25%.
- If the material quality is not optimal and thicknesses vary greatly along the tube, Active Sense cleverly intervenes. In fact, the new Active Tool automatically adjusts the cutting parameters, modifying power and speed to ensure a clean and precise cut even when there are large variations in thickness (for example, with bulging weld seams).
Active Sense incorporates artificial intelligence that allows it to continuously learn based on the experience in the machine and improve its performance over time.
