Kobex Sp. z.o.o. is based in Kamien, Poland. They build steel constructions, primarily industrial buildings, at the rate of one every three days.

They have completed more than 2,500 build outs in approximately eleven years of business.

The target

Kobex's customers use tubes, beams and sheets, combined with processes that previously had to be individually analyzed with great care and skill to separate those that could be done from those that couldn’t be done or would have cost too much to do.

The solution

The use of lasers makes it possible to create lighter constructions and to generate joints between sheets and tubes that were previously unthinkable due to technology constraints or cost.

The solution is CO2 laser-cutting for large-size tubes, beams and sections. A system that has enabled Kobex to be at least twice as fast in the production of structure components by allowing many more machining operations to be done automatically in a single cycle.
